May 26th – Rafting/paddling/Film Festival along the Nolichucky Gorge.

  Bring your own boat or jump in a raft for an exciting ride down class II-IV rapids.      

Hang around that night for food a paddling film festival at NOC on the banks of the Nolichucky. Films will start at dark and feature kayaking films from rapid transit video along with additional environmental films.

Meet at 1pm at NOC's Nolichucky Outpost for an exciting ride down the Nolichucky Gorge. A full-day trip with the best guides on the river. The character of this free-flowing river fluctuates with daily rainfall, and NOC guides are experts at maximizing the fun at every water level. At high water levels, you can expect a fully-guided raft trip. As water levels abate, your trip leader may offer a combination of rafts and ducks, allowing everyone to choose their adventure. Elected officials and regulator folks are welcome to come along for free and there will be a 25% dicount special for everyone else. Trips are $58 with this discount. After a fun day of rafting warm up in the sauna and enjoy some dinner for sale from a local caterer, then hang around a great evening of films and fun. Movies will start at dark, around 8:30pm and it is BYOB. There is a great campground next door, so bring your tent and make a night of it.
